McHappy Day 2020

2020 was a year like no other. Facing an ever-changing landscape, worldwide isolation and limited means for fundraising, Ronald McDonald House Charities needed the help of McHappy Day more than ever.

Enthral was engaged for the third year running to make the day as big as previous years, and appoint an ambassador that had the ability to resonate with Australia and inspire the nation to dig deep during unprecedented circumstances.

Enter, the first ever virtual McHappy Day brought to life with the charismatic Hollywood actor, and mother, Eva Mendes.

The integrated earned and owned campaign was pulled together from Enthral teams in Sydney, Melbourne and LA, where Eva is based.

Our efforts helped to raise $5.02 million for RMHC off the back of the most successful PR campaign for McHappy Day ever. Media exposure was at an all-time high with a reach of 587.7 million, while 3267 media hits were secured.

Following in the footsteps of past ambassadors Katie Holmes and Naomi Watts, Eva Mendes proved to be the perfect ambassador with an authentic connection to RMHC which helped take the fundraiser to new heights.
